create a link to the table in the second DB and then you should be able
to do it like a regular lookup.

If you e-mail the owners of accessmonster directly I'm sure they will
have an answer for you.
If you want one here why not post here directly and sidestep the
leeches?

In A97, WXP, I have an employee form which, among other things, has a textbox for that employee's assigned access card number . The form also has two (2) Yes/No checkboxes. One checkbox is to indicate whether this is a new number (in the entire system) that needs to be added ("Yes") to a list to be emailed to the property manager and the other checkbox, if checked "Yes", is the basis for another list to have a receipt printed in the...

I think this is probably simple, but I'm having a problem figuring it out. I have a form that is used to enter data. I want users to be able to enter a zip code in the form, and have the city and state come up automatically. I have two tables: Table 1 (14 fields): Customer Name, Address, City, State, Zip,

I have a lookup table which contains authorisation codes for a particular operation. When a user makes a booking a random reference number is generated. The user obtains the code from his/her supervisor and inputs it to allow the operation to continue. In VBA the authorisation is checked (DLookUp) for validity. I have activated full security but find that obviously DLookup will only work if there is read permission for the table. But...

I have a database with four table. In one of the tables, I use about five lookup fields to get populate their dropdown list. I have read that lookup fields are really bad and may cause problems that are hard to find. The main problem I am having right now is that I have a report that is sorted by one of these lookup fields and it only displays the record's ID number. When I add the source table to the query it makes several records...

Hi- I've seen this problem discussed a jillion times but I cannot seem to implement any advice that makes it work. I am porting a large project from VB6 to .NET. The issue is using the combo box bound to a table as a lookup, drawing values from another table to populate the available selections. This all worked fine in VB6. I have distilled the problem down to a simple form drawing data from the Northwind database for a representative...

I am working on an electronic flashcard program. Most of the subjects are simple lists of questions and answers. Those seem to be working. Some of the "subjects" have "categories" of questions. One example is a kind of trivia subject. There are several "categories" such as "geography", "history", etc., like in the Trivial Pursuit game. Each card has a question in each category.

I have a table called 'RawData' that collects production data. We run a report on this data everyday to see the performance of each employee. I have another table called 'tblStandards' with standards for each area and an effective date of the standard. Any production numbers before the effectivity date will use the older standard and any on or after the date will use the newer standard. My problem is how to write a formula in a query that...

Hello Folks I am using Microsoft Access 2000 I would be grateful if someone could help me with “Dlookup”. I tried various methods of writing Dlookup and various events to trigger it, none of which were successful. I have been able to display the required value in a ‘text box’ which is a little helpful but not ideal. I have a table called tblLogSheet. The ‘Description’ field of this table uses a lookup table called...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
