Hi all,
Im trying to execute this statement in SQL Plus but am getting the
error not a single-group group function. My code is below. To explain
what Im trying to get at, I want to return the total grade for g.grade
that has been multiplied by its appropriate weight that it carries
towards the total grade.
SELECT g.section_id, g.student_id, g.grade_type_code,
SUM((AVG(g.grade)*30/100+AVG(g.grade)

Folks,
I have a SELECT that returns with multiple records - It works when I have a
LIMIT clause but when I try to include a GROUP BY clause, the select returns
nothing (ie no records, no errors).
The GROUP BY specifies a column that does exist in my db (and is also the
only field that is select from the db).
Where am I going wrong? Because my select uses hashes (which I provide with

Hey all.
I've hit an SQL problem that I'm a bit mystified by. I have two different
questions regarding this problem: why? and how do I work around it?
The following query:
SELECT GCP.id,
GCP.Name
FROM Gov_Capital_Project GCP,

Using MySQL 5.0.15
I am no expert so maybe I am deeply misundertanding how this should
work. I have a relatively complex quey with joins and a subquery (it is
probably far from optimized, but that is another issue; right now I am
more interested in correctness than speed). If I do not put a GROUP BY
clause then the query returns a number of rows, as expected. If I add a
GROUP BY clause, I get an empty set! My understanding of the...

hi all--
i need to do a transformation that removes duplicates (among other
things). to accomplish that, i'm trying to use for-each-group, but it
doesn't work. i need to select for duplicates by looking at the child
node sequence (see sample below). note that when i do an xsl-message on
the group-by expression inside the for-each-group, it has exactly what
i'd like to group by listed, but i guess it doesn't like to have a
sequence of...

design time, but when i run the program i get the folowing
message:ORA-00979: not a GROUP BY expression. When I run the same query with

don't use the GROUP BY function but with the parameter, it works also well
?What is the problem? The query is:select t1.id,t2.nad,max(t2.name) as

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
