We have a database here at work and the person who created has been
gone for two years. The original project manager wants to use this
database on his New project, but the database is secured. I can get in
to the database using the shift key, but all the objects are secured.
I checked the users and all that show up are "admin" & "user". I
guess that's what is in my SYSTEM.MDW. I can not retrieve the original

Hi:
I've used the /decompile switch lots of times when working with
troublesome databases. Now, though, I have a database that is secured,
and I can't get the /decompile switch to work with the /wrkgrp switch.
Here's the shortcut I usually use for starting the secured database:
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft OfficeXP\Office10\MSACCESS.EXE"
"c:\stempelc\area\hacla\haclasecurenew.mdb" /wrkgrp

I'm trying to use TransferDatabase to transfer tables from an external

use automation, although OpenCurrentDatabase apparantly can't be made
to work with secured databases. I saw a post where someone from MS

Hello all,
I am new here but I need some serious help. I spent months getting this office organized and creating a central contact database. This thing has clients, suppliers, the works. It was a lot of work.
I put it on our network server so that everyone in the office could access it. I also secured the database so that our less computer savvy project managers could "look but not touch" so to speak. We didn't want them changing anything....
