Adding a new record with same information

2 New Member
Hi everyone, i need some help on doing this project from my friend he is a travel agent who has this form that was created like 13 years ago so he wants me to modify it, i am new to access but i think i could do it with a little bit of help well this is my question.

Q1)
I have this form in access that contains travel information about the passanger like number, name address, plane info and so on. So my firend wanted me to modify this. He wanted me to add tihs feature which is for example my name is Rick and my information is already stored in the form, but my son is Tom so instead of entering the address of Tom, i click the find button and look up the phone number and after it displays its results i modify the field with Toms name and instead of over writing James record i create a new record for Tom.

Q2)
My second question relates to the second one here is an example: I pull Rick's record and i want to konw how to how to create antoher table to pull up record of ricks family by phone number showing there travel information.

Here is the screen shot of my form

Ans # 1) U need to use append queries for this purpose and the both the destination and the sourse of this query will be the same records table. first use criteria to find the record and then change the name of person. saving it in append query will create a new record instead of modifing the old one.

A # 2) simply use criteria in query to find record with help of phone #. u can use query wizzard for both the answers but in the first case, u will have to change its type in the end.
I m a bigginner my self so escuse me for not explaining this well.

Trying to figure out the technique which should be used to add rows to a datagrid. I am thinking that I would want an "Add" button on the footer, but I am not quite sure how to do that. Is that the best method? Do you have a sample of how to do this?

Hi all, I know this is easy, just can't seem to get it. I have a windows form, and a text box, with a value already in it. I need to add that value to a table. It's just one value, so the entire row doesn't get filled. I have a connection and all that stuff. Private Sub btnPlaceBet_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As...

(Sorry this is so long, was trying to fully explain the situation) There are two tables that handle information on our clients. Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...
