Suppress Row of Empty Fields in SubForm

1 New Member
I need to hide/not display a blank row on a subform.
The Main form is based on a table, contains Site Header information
The Subform is based on another table containing Sample Details records

Site Header table to Sample Details table relation ship is one-to-many,
with two key fields SiteID and SiteVisitDate

The Form/SubForm is linked by SiteID, SiteVisitDate

The form adds one record to the Site Header Table.
Then adds mutliple records to the Sample Details table for that SiteID.
Some fields are populated with a script, while others are populated by user input

An empty/blank/new row always appears on the subform before & after the Sample Details are added. Before records are added is not a problem,it's when
records are added that the row of empty fields is a pain. It actually looks like a "New Record Row"

Any ideas appreciated, cheers
Michael

I've tried CanShrink etc,

If I understand well you want that the row with thenew record doesn't appear, do-I? If Yes, you have to go to the Form properties and change the property allow additions to No

Hello, I've created a Querydef in a Form_Load() sub. The form is a subform that no longer has linked child fields. The form is bound to this querydef. When I open the form, the fields are populated just fine. However, when I add a new record using the new record control at the bottom of the subform, it gets added with NULL for the two values that were in the original WHERE clause. For example, if my query was "SELECT batch, style,...

I have two tables in a 1:M relationship- the parent has 5 fields in the primary key and the child 6 (these are actually pretty far downstream in a complicated ER model, but the problem is between these two). I set up the relationship with no problem- referential integrity and left outer join. I have created two forms- one for the parent and one for the child table. I want to import the child table's form as a subform on the parent...

Hello all, Form A & Form B Form B opens when I click on a button from Form A. How do I setup Form B so it will always let me insert new records. Because right know, when I click on the button from Form A to Form B (onClickEvent), Form B will open and show all the records that the table has. So I need to click on the navigation button (buttom of the form) and insert a new record.

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
