Hi,
I am working on a database used to store information, and then generate
customized letters. I have most of it working, (Thanks to the posts in
this group =)) I have a button which can be clicked and it opens word
and fills in the blanks of my template appropriately, with the
exception of 2 areas. These areas of the letter need to be pulled from
subforms of the existing form, and in the word document they need to be
a list or possibly a table, and dynamic in nature. Does anyone have
any idea how I can accomplish this? I am a novice at best, so please
speak as plainly as possible =) 2 2151 da**********@gm ail.com wrote: Hi,

Not sure you're going to like this response, but hard questions have
hard answers. This is covered in Access Developer's Handbook. IIRC,
they pass a recordset to Word and convert it to a table (could be an
ADO recordset converted to a string... can't remember!)
To make a long story short, their code does it for ya. And it's not a
trivial bit of code, either. The book has a working example that
creates an invoice in Word.
Thank you! I really appreiciate your giving me a place to look... pi********@hotm ail.com wrote: da**********@gm ail.com wrote: Hi,

Has anyone had any problems with inter-office automation between MS Word and

I have recently installed office 2003 in a new folder and have left the

I have been given an Access Database which contains a table that has
an OLE object field that contains a Word document. That table contains
hundreds of records. I would like to find out how I can write a VB
script, to be executed either within Access or executed at the CMD
prompt, which will loop through all the records and open the document
object and save it to a Word document that I can access from Windows
Explorer. An additional info...

Hello
On my Access database form I have a command button which opens a Word mail
merge document in which I have created a number of fields (Title, FirstName,
LastName, Address1 etc.)
I would like to be able to populate the Word document with the contents of
the currently selected Access record so that when I press the button in
Access, Word opens with the appropriate fields populated and ready to print.
It is a "one off" event which I...

An article at http://news.com.com/2100-1012-991694.html?tag=fd_top states:
"XML would allow easier interchange of data generated in
Office documents with back-end systems or existing Web services."
As part of an Access 2000 application, I have to continually parse Word
documents and store the parsings in Access tables using Automation to
control Word and parse the document. Is there a way that XML would help with
that?
Thanks.

Hi,
Being fairly new to .NET I am looking for a way to call
MS
Word from an event on a webform, and after the user is
finished save that created document to an SQL Server
database. Has anyone done this? Does it seem possible? I
followed the instructions from a sample on the Microsoft
knowledge base but it only seems to work when creating a
VB.NET Windows .EXE, not an VB.NET ASP app.

Apologies for the newbie question. I have created a vb.net program for
my company that is designed to work with Word Templates (about forty of
them that we commonly use) that are selected by the user and populated
(with info from an Access database) at run-time, then saved as Word
documents. The program I have coded works fine -- it does what I need
it to do. But it has two problems: (1) it runs very slowly, and (2) it
does not seem to...

Hello All,
I have Access 2003, and am trying to build a database for my small
company. I want to be able to create a word document based on the data
entered through a form. the real question is this: can Access create
the document and place it as an OLE object to the relevant table?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

This problem was proposed to me but not really my area of expertise so I thought I would open it up to the forum to see if anyone had any bright ideas.
The problem is generating Microsoft Word Documents on a server from Word templates and injecting data from a data source. There are a number of solutions to this problem that are less than satisfactory:
1. Use the Microsoft Word Object Model is not good as it requires the installation of a...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
