I just changed my Access 2002 database to a SQL Server ADP project. I
had a form where the user entered a value into a text box and when a
command button on the form was clicked a Report was opened. The reports
record source is a query. The query uses the value from the form text
box to restrict the query.
Table name = EggsTable
one of the columns in the table is named: EggColor
Form name = EggColorForm
Form text box name = ColorTextBox

I have developped an Access database with a lot of coding. The size of
the database without data is about 5 meg.
I am ready to copy the database to a client PC which already has a legal
version of Access installed.
1.I am used to work with software such has C++ which basically save the
program in many files but I notice that Access VBA save all data into a
one big file. Any way I can brake it in multiple files?
2. If I make a change in...

Hey guys heres my network question:
1- when I selet Tools-startup and limit the access to access, it
applies to all of the users on the network who are accessing the
database through a network folder. How can I let the startup feature
be unique for whoever has it setup. Would it have to do with creating
a linked replica that each user uses (tools menu-create replica). I
havent looked at the password issues yet so this is my main...

Hi Everyone..
Been forever since I've posted to the Access newsgroups, and even longer
since I've needed to post a question, but I've never had to use or try
Access on a Terminal Server so I'm hoping to Brain Scrape some info from
those of you that have.
Schema:
MS Access 2000 .adp sitting on a Terminal Server with SQL Server
Database backend.

Hello there.
I have a question somewhat related to this topic, and I don't know
where else to go. I hope somebody can help. I've created a database
in access, that I'd like to share with less than 10 users. I'd like
each user to see only some of the records in the database. So for
example, if I have eight users in eight countries, I want each of them
to only see information for their country.
I was told that the easiest way to do...

I was asked to provide a proposal. I provided a proposal on my application
and the prospective client likes what I have but is wary of it having been
developed in Access.
I don't understand this concern since my front-end application will be linked
to a SQL SERVER backend.
But there seems to be this "conventional wisdom" among IT people that Access
is a toy database. Okay, let's redefine that as "Jet" is a toy database
(which I don't...

I have an office with approx 8 people. I have used Access with a Form on my
personal PC for client records. I was wondering if I could put the Access
table on a server and put shortcuts on each work station to allow users to
view, update records?
Thanks in advance

I have a .MDB back-end database that is created with Access 2.0.
And multiple front-end mdb's, some are created by Access 2.0, and the
rest are created by Access 2003.
The fron-ends had table attachments to the back-end database.
The problem is I'm unable to access any table by both versions of
Access in the same time!
Here are the steps to replicate the problem
1- Open one Access 2.0 front-end mdb, then open the attached table T1

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
