Duane Hookom's Outlook Style Report for MS Access

For anyone familiar with Duane's report
(http://www.invisibleinc.com/download.cfm?filFilID=6)...

This report is perfect for a project I am working on. I am a novice to
creating reports in Access and would never have dreamt of the elegant
solution Duane created. On the main form Duane states, "The code and
report dimensions assume that all schedule entries are between 8:00 AM
and 6:00 PM, Monday-Friday. These limits could be adjusted by changes
in the code and design." This is the reason for my post. Namely, I
wish to have the user choose the start and end times as well as the
time period between ticks (1/2 hour, 1 hour, 2 hours). What is the
best approach to accomplish this? I have read that you can create an
Access report on the fly. But I am unsure of the performance penalties
incurred in doing so. Should I design the report to accommodate any
options the user may choose (the lowest-common case, as it were)?
Thank you for any and all help.

I'm using the CreateObject method to send email from Access. Set objOutlook = CreateObject("Outlook.Application") This, of course, launches Outlook to send the message. Anyone know if there is a way to do the same sort of thing but have it launch Outlook Express instead of Outlook?

I was wondering if it would be possible to snapshot an access report to Outlook, and have fields come in the To: and Cc: fields, and also the subject field of the email as well. Right now, I am able to click on a button on an access form, and have it snapshot the report to an email. Here is the code: **************************************************************** Sub cmdSaveRecord_Click() Dim stDocName As String

This report will be emailed in the early hours of the morning when no users are around to click 'Yes!'Is there a way to prevent this from happening, so the report gets emailed without user interaction?

Is there any way i can improve on this code? If i run this application by giving the detials of the start date and end date in the range of 15 days, it's taking 3 mins. I'm looking for a code which can run faster than this. I'm running this on asp.net 2.0. Any suggestions/comments would be appreciated. Default.aspx -------------------------

My supervisor performs the following steps to generate an email notifying recipients of new problem reports: 1) Generate an Access report containing the columnar data and export it to a .rtf file. 2) Using Word, convert the columnar data in the .rtf file to table. 3) Copy the table from Word and paste it in a new Outlook email (default format is RTF). I created a command button in the Access application which opens a new

Hi all! I'm trying to set up an email application for my database. I tried linking to my Outlook address book, but when reading from the table, I receive an error message saying I need to restart Access. So I set up a table and a form for users to add email addresses. I have another form (Email_Report) that allows the user to select multiple addresses from a list box and has two hidden fields (Subject and Body) that are preset with...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
