I am using Access 2002 and have two tables (Main and Actions) linked
(in Relationships) on one field "CAL_ID" (primary key in Main Table).
Main Table is a list of equipment. Actions Table lists actions
performed on these pieces of equipment (calibration, cleaning, etc.) so

I have a drop down combo box that gives the user to enter an item not in
the list by adding it to the list. The list is a table.
It works fine on Access2003 but fails on Access2002/XP. ON XP, it seems
to work, shows the message that the entry has been added, then I get an
Access error saying the item is not in the list.

Hi,
What the heck is that supposed to mean? I am getting this error on a
"Me.Requery" line in a subroutine on a form, but only when I select
something from a combo/dropdown box. The *exact* same code is run when
I do other things (like press the Save button or tab through that
control).
I have searched every control, involved queries and tables and I can't
find anything that looks fishy.

Hi, I've been very frustrated for 2 days trying to make this work. I started with a built-in template "Projects" that came with Access 2007. On the "Employee List" I can click on any cell and bring up the Employee Detail" corresponding to that particular cell. That works fine. I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
