problems by working with two different odbc connections

hi,

i have two (informix-)odbc connections i need to work with.

link the first one, choosing my tables.
open them - fine!

link the second one, choosing my tybles.
open them - fine!

closing access.

open my project again.

open tables from one odbc connection - fine!
open tables from the the other connection, the odbc manager pops up,
asking for a password!?!?
the user AND password have been entered in the odbc admin, but when
open a table from the second odbc connection the box pops up with a
user (Admin) i havn't typed in the odbc admininistrator (it doesn't
matter which i choose first, the second doesn't work)

We connect to a SQL 6.5 server (IP for example 202.64.213.11) on WIN NT using ODBC DSN and / or SQL Client (DB-LIB). Everthing was working fine then the some XP client machines (192.168.0.1 and 192.168.0.3) started giving problems. All TCP/IP connections go thru the WIN 2000 multihomed machine (192.168.0.2 where its connecting fine). The error when creating ODBC DSN is Connection failed: SQLState: '01000' SQL Server Error: 10054...

Trying to get the unixODBC to work connecting to an IBM DB2 UDB V8.1. The DB2 server is running on Red Hat 8 and is tested and confirmed to be serving connections to Windows 98 clients using the Accpac 5.1 client program (I would like to find an OpenSource generic ODBC program for Wiindows that can do simple SQL). An Accpac database was installed and the Win32 ODBC connection is working. Trying to connect a Linux client via unixODBC I...

I've got an app written with Access XP that was deployed 2 years ago using a PostgreSQL backend database through an internet connection. Recently a client upgraded to XP Service Pack 2. After the upgrade she was unable to connect to the remote database, getting the error: Unable to connect to remote database File Name=C:\Program Files\Common Files\ODBC\Data Sources\PostgresCNI.dsn Error message: The file is not a valid compound file.

I am trying to create a web application using VB.NET. I will be deploying multiple instances of this application on the same server, each with it's own Access database. Unfortunately, every example I've seen shows how to access data using ODBC at design time. This won't work for me. I would have to have a different code base for each instance. What I need is a way for the entire application to know what ODBC source it is supposed to use,...

Hello, Have MS 2003 server with IIS 6.0 installed. ASP.net is also installed. Had to re-install the server after initial configuration by someone who left the company and now I cannot get the ASP pages to load. The files all existed in a NON-INETPUB folder and accessed a SQL database to pull information.

I am also using communicating with a legacy DOS based system, with the software...

The sysadmin assures me that there have been no changes to the network, or the servers. Three applications, one back-end database server (SQL Server 2000 with all service packs etc.). Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
