Strange Access/SQL Error

I hope someone can help with this strange problem I've encountered:

I have an Access interface that is used to access a SQL database. The
interface uses some stored procedures to display information from the
DB. If I edit the underlying tables of the SQL DB using the ALTER
TABLE statement, I encounter a problem where the Access interface no
longer displays information.

For example, the Access interface has a search function that uses a
stored procedure to query the database and display summaries of
selected records. Users can click on the name of a summary to view a
complete record. After altering the DB's underlying table, the Access
interface no longer displays the record summaries. The spots for the
summaries are still there and you can click on them and view the
record's detail, but the record summary is not visible.

Has anyone else encountered this problem? Is there anyway to fix this?
Thanks

Relink and Compact your Front End. The FE stores
meta data - data about the table structure - which
needs to be refreshed.

If you are doing this 'live', close Access and
restart. The ODBC connections store meta-data,
and Access caches connections.

I have a strange situation with my Access 2000 database. I have code in the database which has worked fine for years, and now all of a sudden doesn't work fine on one or two of my client's machines. The code opens MS Word through Automation and then opens a particular Word doc. It's still working fine on most machines; but on one or two of them, the user is getting an Automation Error. The code used is as follows: Dim objWord As...

I'm moving an app to my server and got this strange error. The previous developer created a web service and has two C++ COM+ objects in the project. I'm getting: Access to the path "C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322\Temporary ASP.NET Files\tec-trac\5660ae43\6c7dad27" is denied. He runs the app on a Win2K server, I'm using a Win 2003 Standard server. I found two articles but not sure:

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
