Hello,
I'm running on Mac OS X and need to create a soft link to a file.
I tried both makealias() and link(). While makealias creates a Finder
alias just fine my application that needs to read the reference file
doesn't like this. link() produces 1) a hard link and b) gives me the
following error: OSError: Operation not supported
I guess what I'm looking for is a way to call the Unix ln command from

Hi,
I have noticed that every aspx page that I created (and ascx file) has an
assosiated resource file aspx.resx.
However what I would like to do is have a single global resource file for
the site.
The resources in this global resource file will possibly change quite often,
there I guess this rules out using web.config as every time web.config

If a user is is downloading a file from the server via a php
link...there are 2 ways I can do it..
1. Create a symlink to the file and .. redirect user to it and delete
the symlink later
OR
2. Just send appropriate headers to the browser and read the file to

Hi,
I would like to know if there is any way I can forcefully delete a
file locked by another process on Windows as well as on Linux.
On windows DeleteFile returns me error code 32 (Process cannot access
the file because it is being used by another process)

I have db2 9 installation and I think our application isn't handling
locking optimally.
I have Maxlocks(96) and locklist (104832) setup to be auto tuned. The
value of these parameters in the parenthesis are the auto tuned values
after running my application for a while.
I notice values in db2diag.log that these values are being increased
to prevent lock escalation.
How do I determine the sql that is causing these high escalations?
