Form Losing Data

I have a front end database file linked to a back end database file.
Periodically (every few months?), a form name frmStallSvcCont ract which
is based on a query comes up without data. The fields are present but
there is not any data shown. The data shows up in the underlying query.
My fix that always works is to reimport a copy of the form from a
backup of the database. When I do that I can see the data fine.
However, I would like to solve this problem once and for all.

I've compared the active form and the back up form but do not see any
difference when the active form goes bad.

Any solutions or areas to look at? My system is Windows XP professional
running SP2.

Thanks in advance.

The symptoms suggest that the database file is corrupting.
The fact that recreating solves the problem confirms that idea.

For suggestions on how to prevent the database corrupting, see:
http://allenbrowne.com/ser-25.html
There's a list of hardware and software issues to work through.

If the hardware all looks good, check the service packs of Office and JET.

If your users have different versions of Access (e.g. some on 2000 and some
on 2002), make sure Name AutoCorrect is off, compact, and use the lowest
version to decompile the file. Compact again. then compile, and release an
MDE. Distribute to *each* user. If this still corrupts, you're probably back
to the hardware issues again.

We're using SQL Server 7 with an Access 2000 MDB as a front end with ODBC linked tables. I recently created a new set of tables for the app, and users are complaining that unsaved data is being lost when they move to a new record. This seems to be the case when there are multiple users. When there is a single user using it, we don't seem to...

I have a database that contains the details of pupils in a school. What I would like to do may not be possible but I thought I would ask anyway. So...

I have a web project (ASP.Net/VB.net) with a data access layer class that passes dataset objects to the web form based on a passed SQL query. The class successfully retrieves the data but the ByRef dataset...

Greetings, I'm an occasional php/mysql dabbler. I have a basic data form with a submit button. Unfortunately, it's still possible for the user to enter data changes and close the window, without clicking the submit button, thus losing the data. Can someone point me to a generic example of some code that will trap and handle this error?

Introduction: We get fairly frequent questions on here about why settings (including both values AND formatting) of unbound controls on a form, are not stored for reference later, but instead, each setting seems to be applied to EVERY instance of the control, for all records that show.
