Programmaticall y unchecking Show Hidden Objects at DB-launch

To simplify the user interface and to protect code I have unchecked the
Tools|Options|V iew|Show Hidden objects.
However, if a user selects displaying the hidden objects, I would like to
reset this option by code at next database launch to not display the hidden
objects.
Would it be possible to do this setting by some auto executed (VBA) code at
database launch?

Best regards
Niels

You should be able to do that utilizing the GetOption and SetOption
methods
in your startup code. Watch for linebreaks in the link

Hi, I'm currently building an application in Access and as part of this need to import forms and modules from another database. Some of the imports will be revisions of existing forms/modules so I need to check and see they already exist before importing them so I can remove the old one. I've figured out how to remove the classes and modules before importing the revised version but I'm having problems with the forms. I was hoping to use...

Using Access 2003 front-end, with SQL Server 2005 backend. I need to make the front-end application automatically refresh the linked SQL Server tables. New tables will be added dynamically in the future, so the front-end application must have a way to keep up with this (instead of manually linking them).

I play a game that when your backpack fills with items (the limit is 45) you must choose items to discard by unchecking their box. This is very annoying and time consuming so I was wondering if it were possible to create a Javascript function to be saved as a bookmark, and when used it prompts for the checkbox to start at (so it won't discard items that I want to keep) and discards all items after that point. So my main question is, is it...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
