I have wrote a program that lets the user choose stock data types that they wish to analyse. Their choices are then read in from a database. I want to know how to then graph the data using a line graph. I need each of the different stock data types to be plotted on the one graph. If anyone could help me or point me in the right direction i'd be very appreciative. Thanks

Is there any interest in a (hypothetical) standard graph API (with 'graph' meaning a network, consisting of nodes and edges)? Yes, we have the standard ways of implementing graphs through (e.g.) dicts mapping nodes to neighbor-sets, but if one wants a graph that's implemented in some other way, this may not be the most convenient (or abstract) interface to emulate. It might be nice to have the kind of polymorphic freedom that one has with,...

Hi! I am getting a fuzzy display of the pie charts created by the sample Perl scripts that accompany the CPAN distribution of the module GD::Graph. All other samples appear to be okay. Does anyone have any ideas (Possible combination of module versions)? Setup: ActivePerl 5.6.1.631 Win32, GD 1.27, GDTextUtils 0.86, GDGraph 1.43.

Since DBlib is no longer the suggested method for connecting back to sql server from an Extended Stored Procedure, has anyone built any extended stored procedures that use other connection methods like OLEDB? Has anyone seen links to any sample extended stored procedures that use something other than db-lib? In particular I am interested in something that connects back to the database as the user who invoked the extended stored...

Hi, I have a component which exposes an extended property. I want to edit this property using a UITypeEditor. The problem is that when the designer raises my UITypeEditor sends a reference of the component it's being edited (a TextBox for example) but not of my component. How can I receive a reference of the component that owns the extended property? Thanks a lot,

I was asked by my boss to create representation of data by Graphs in VB 6 application. I checked the features of VB6 Graph control as well as Excel graphs. They are not good enough. I tried to find any third party ocx and all I found do not look good enough either. I found several .NET controls that look good. I was wondering if it is a good idea to create an inherited from one of those I found controls my own and wrap it for COM...

Access 2003 (previous 2000) Windows XP Pro I am fairly new at VBA within Access, learning as I go thorugh forums and discussion groups. I generally find my answers through previous posts, but I have been unable to find how to specifically refer to properties within a graph object. Below is a snippet of code from my module in which the graph ('chart_DataSet') is in a subform ('frm_sub_Chart') that is contained within a control...

Sorry in advance if this is a silly question as I'm not a full time Access user. I have developed a simple database to process data for an internal customer but unfortunately the graphs on the reports generated change types depending on the computer used. The graphs are Unbound objects of the MS.Graph.Chart.8 class. Build versions of Access are exactly the same and IT support is "claiming" the profiles are the same. Can anyone...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
