Hi
Is it possible/feasible to have two-way replication (synchronisation)
between an access database and a sql server 2005 database? I am just
wondering if it is more robust than replication between two access
databases.
Thanks
Regards

Right, further to previous question not so long ago...
I have a fairly complex access database that has a number of linked
tables in it. The main table of this database is a details one that has
a large number of fields in it that I have mapped to a HanDBase table on
my PDA.
I've got my two databases mapping the data in the appropriate fields on
each table. The only problem is that because the tables in the Access
file are linked to a...

Hi
We have an internal ms access database which we need to synchronise with our
website with sql server 2005 backend which is hosted on a public host. My
question is; is there a way to keep the two databases synchronised using the
technologies built in sql server 2005 and/or access? We also have the
possibility of an in-house sql server 2000. Can this be used in anyway to
help, perhaps by moving data from in house access to in house sql...

Hi
Is there a way to synchronise/replicate an access db with sql server 2000
db, short of writing the code oneself?
Thanks

Hi, I need to develop a program to synchronise tables in a local Access database with tables in a replica Access database on a central web server. Is the best way to do this with .Net?
I can see a way to use ASP to validate and update records from the central db to the local machine but I am having problems working out the best way to update the central db from the records on local machine. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Hi,
I've just setup a development server for testing websites at my office and wish to synchronise it with the sites folder on our live server, does anyone know of any good programs for this?
I've got total file commander which is pretty good for synchronising directories but it apparently when downloading it changes the timestamp to the time at which you downloaded the file, which means that the directories / files would never have the...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
