Many of my C++ programs have the line
using namespace std;
but the "Accelerated C++" book of Koenig and Moo has many examples
where the library names are included one at a time, for example
using std::cin;
using std::cout;

amount of down payment for that loan. According to the requirement,
the user is going to enter enter the loan amount and then will enter

Ok, after all the research on datagrids, I've found that they won't really work for what I'm trying to do...I have a table that I need to have three columns as static data (but each row has a different value) and two other columns that have to do calculations, and a summary row/footer at the bottom of the table.
I guess maybe I'm stupid, because even with the help and information I've been given, how to populate each static column with...

Hi - I have the following VB function within MS Access which is called
via a query.
How do I modify this code so that it will only do the replacement
based upon the value of another field on the same record.
i.e. it will replace "10091200" with "Womens Clothing" only if the
field TEST = "YES"

Hi All,
In an AccessXP report in a Group Footer I have the following in a
textbox and I don't think its working.
Question; Is AccessXP smart enough to know to first sum up all the
values of
and count how many before it calculates the average
for only those records
that met the criteria? or is it just capturing the last value for
that grouping and calculating it.

Hello, I've reviewed the archives here to address the issue, but I'm still running into problems. I've got a table field populated with the record date in text "YYYYMMDD"
To convert it into a recognizable date format, I've done the following:
Query 1: References Source Table; Isolates Year, Day; creates MMDD field
Acc Open Year: Left(,4)
Acc Open Day: Right(,2)
MMDD: Right(,4)
Query 2: References Query 1; Isolates Month

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
