How to create a multiple column unique constraint

Dear All,

I want to achieve that the combination of values over multiple columns
in a table are unique.
I know this works for SQL Server, but how do I declare this in an
ACCESS 2000 data base (prefereable in table design ) ?

Any help is welcome

Rolf

While looking at the design view of the table select View>Indexes from the
menu. Give the new index a name such as MyIndex and add a select a field
(e.g. FirstName) then move your cursor to the cell below and select a second
field (e.g. LastName). Then put your cursor back in the cell containing the
name 'MyIndex' and look at the properties for this index at the bottom left
of this dialog box. Change the Unique proerty to Yes, then close and save
the table.

I am trying to create a primary key constraint on a view in the following statement. However, I got an error ORA-00907: missing right parenthesis. If the CONSTRAINT clause is removed, then the view is created fine. Does anyone know how to creat Primary Key Constraint for a View? Thanks. Is there a way to store an indefinite number of keys in one field and self join them? Imagine, for example, you have a table of users with a "friends" column. Say user 1 is friends with users 9, 7, 24 and 6; then would it be possible to store this array/list/whatever-you-want-to-call-it into user 1's friends cell and extract the join in a query, some how? An easy and obvious way, that is; I can think of string processing hacks ;) Thanks...

SQL Server only allow one NULL in a unique constraint column (it's the unique index that does that, so the unique constraint behaves like that too). The question is, what is the best way to simulate that behaviour in Postgres? Can a CHECK constraint does that? Will a trigger with SELECT count(*) ... WHERE f IS NULL be too slow if the table is large? -- dave

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
