What you describe can be done with Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) code,
but, in Access, that isn't considered a "macro" -- macros and VBA are
different features. In fact, someone skilled in VBA can do a great deal more
than can be accomplished with macros.
I'd suggest you go browse at a nearby well-stocked bookstore for self-study
books -- many of them have beginning, intermediate, and advanced topics on
VBA. There are also some very useful on-line courses at http://office.microsoft.com, but, sad to say, none really go far enough to
cover VBA. I like John Viescas' _Access 2003 Inside Out_ from Microsoft
Press, Roger Jenkins' _Special Edition Using Access <version>_, and any
Access book of which Ken Getz is the author or co-author.

individual Function to the specific OnAction property. The Functions
return Text which is the same as the Caption of the sub-sub-menu items.

I needed to import large CSV files into Access, when requested by a
command in a .Net interface.
Because Access does not have a bulk insert command, and I already have
vba macros in Access that do the import, I simply called the vba macro
from .Net using COM.
Each time a csv file is successfully imported, I would like to raise a

I've been clicking around Access 2007 Beta 2 and can't see the custom
menu bar designer. Is it in the beta? Maybe I'm blind. The question
that comes to mind is: Will custom menu bars be the same height as they
