Insert Object- Scanner recognition

Hello:

I am currently creating a database in which a user can scan an image
into MS Access. The images once scanned, will be held in a seperate
table.

Here is my problem. The scanner is not showing up in the Insert Object
box when I right-click insert object. The options which appear are very
generic. The scanner is a Kodak i260 and it is the only scanner
installed on the computer (which is running Windows XP). MS Access
Version is MS Access 2000.

I double-checked to be sure the TWAIN driver was installed and I tested
it with other programs, it works. I just cannot get MS Access to
recognize the scanner. I know this works because we have another
computer in our office that does exactly what I am trying to do. That
computer has an HP Scanner installed.

I did read somewhere that Windows XP no longer contains the Kodak Image
controls. Can this be the problem? If so, what do I do?

Any ideas are appreciated.

How do I get the next int value for a column before I do an insert in MY SQL Server 2000? I'm currently using Oracle sequence and doing something like: select seq.nextval from dual; Then I do my insert into 3 different table all using the same uniqueID. I can't use the @@identity function because my application uses a connection pool and it's not garanteed that a connection won't be used

Hi, we have a contention problem because of an application which tries to insert a duplicate row in a table with primary key. This insert fails of course but the locks are not released within this transcation. Why DB2 does not release the X lock after a failed insert??? We use DB2 UDB EEE Version 7.2 Fixpak 9, but we also can reproduce the Problem on DB2 UDB ESE 8.1 Linux Fixpak 4.

Hi one and all I got this problem during my project. So in order to solve this I made a very small application. I am trying to insert using SP and sqldatasource control. I know that while using sqldatasource control, there is no need of opening and closing a connection. Also there is no need to write connection string. When i am selecting table from sqldatasource and writing insert statement in C# code, its working fine. When I am...

I'm trying to use the set<my_class>::insert( my_class const & ) method, but have run into some problems. It seems like I'm seeing it insert an object when a similar object is already in the set. After calling insert(), I see the .second of the return value set to "true", meaning it was inserted. The size() of the set increases by 1, but the count() of the object I insert doesn't change (it was 1, it is still 1). I do a quick check and...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
