I am using an acess form to have people enter data for a small scale
audit. Is it possible to hide the bar at the bottom of a form so that
the people entering data cannot navigate through records? I would
like to make it so that they can only see the record they are working
on, and can only add a record by hitting an action button that says
"Add Record."

Access 2000,
I have a main unbound form with a bound datasheet subform
. The subform is bound to a query
that returns records based on criteria in the main form. The user then
double clicks a row on the datasheet subform to open yet another form
bound to a table . These two forms are linked by
the field. So far so good.

have code that sets the default value of each field to its current value. For a
new record, I can put the focus in any field to start. If I edit that field and

My Problem:
I have created a database here at work that is exhibiting some very
strange behaviour.
Essentially the database is structured in a manner where one table is
a master record table (tbl_MainRegister) providing a unique identifier
for documents and a means for identifying the docuement type. There
are then 4 additional tables (tbl_Meetings, tbl_Documents,
tbl_Project, tbl_Correspondence) which store the document details.

Hi
I need to block user from moving away from a record using any of
First/Last/Prev/Next/New Record or any other way IF the record has not been
saved, and displaying a message to the effect "Please finish editing". If
however the user has explicitly saved the record using save from the access
menu then allow to move from record. How do I achieve this via code?

If I create individual sub functions behind each form, no problem.
