date/time in access to date in excel

is there an easy way to make a date/time field (in Access) convert to a
date field (in Excel) when using ms-query? I'm pretty good with xl,
but new to access, so apologies if this is covered on p1 of the user's
guide (my _quick_ search in this forum didn't find an answer to my
question).

No, it means you're in the wrong newsgroup.

Most of us in Access don't use ms-query. We use Access Queries.

Try a Excel newsgroup.

I have two cells on a form. One of them is the "Production Date" and the other is the "Expiry Date". The "Expiry Date" is 183 days after the "Production Date." On an Excel spreadsheet, the "Expiry Date" is automatically entered, when the "Production Date" is entered. To do this the "Expiry Date" cell carries the following formula: "=A15+183". I would like to be able to do the same on an Access Form, with the results written to the...

I have an Access 2003 mdb which contains software records. I need to sort on a particular type of software, and then identify and count how many copies there are per each group of that type purchased on the same date. I have no trouble doing a query to extract the type (say MS Excel 2002, for example). The trouble is, there could be 50 copies purchased on date "x", 80 copies purchased on date "y", and 250 copies purchased on date "z",...

Greetings All, Hope you can help me out here. I'm trying to import from Excel but the default date in Excel is in this format: 12/2/2005 12:49:49 AM (for example). What input mask can I use in Access so it will accept it? If it is a challenge, how can I knock it down to just the date? TIA.

I am trying to display dates in a spreadsheet, but the dates need to be in a format that will allow them to be sorted in Excel. The datatype in the SQL Server database is datetime. In this case, I need to display the date only, not the time. But I don't want to change the datatype in the database because the time is used in other places. So what I am doing is pulling it out of the database, then modifying it in ASP/VBScript by using the...

These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers.
