Hello
I have an Access 2000 form with the following properties:
Record Source - Table1
Allow Additions - Yes
Data Entry - Yes
Cycle - Current Record
When I open this form the underlying table (Table1) goes to a new record
(let's call it record 1) as it should.
After typing in some data in this new record (record 1), if I turn the mouse
scrolling wheel, the underlying table then moves to the next new record
(record 2) and all the data appearing on the form disappears since the form's
controls (all the text boxes) are also bound to Table1.
If I start typing in data in this new record (record 2) and then turn the
mouse scrolling wheel again, Table1 moves to another new record (record 3)
and so on.
So is there a way to stop this from happening either by disabling the mouse
scrolling wheel or by some other way?
Thanks

Gerard,
I tried the .dll route before, and it worked just fine at home, but
when I tried to implement it at work, my app crashed. It was because
they used different mice at work, with different drivers...I couldnt
install the recommended drivers, because they used a USB connection and
required a different driver.. MS has a different option, that will
prevent the mouse scroll without using a custom .dll... the only caveat
is, you can not open the visual basic editor in the production app or
MS Access will hang... this shouldnt be a problem if users are running
a run-time version.. if not, then make sure to do your development work
in a copy of the production database, then switch copies when needed...

There is absolutely no way that my MouseHook DLL could cause your app to
crash. The code simply discards specific MouseWheel messages...noth ing
else, period. For you to state otherwise shows your lack of
understanding in this area.

It's mouse driver sensitive. I had to "downgrade" several versions of my mouse
intellimouse driver to get scrolling in the vba window to work.

Yeah, Intellipoint 4 works in the VBA window but 5 does not.
Alternatively there's freewheel http://www.geocities.com/SiliconVall...freewheel.html

Hi!
I develop an application and I need a mouse driver for universal
and intelligent scrolling behaviour with wheel.
Something like the Microsoft IntelliMouse has.
Is something like that anywhere availabel?

I have quite a few of continuous form and subform where I do allow
scroll bars. I run into problems with the mouse wheel whenever the
data on the form does not take up the whole page. In this instance,
whenever a user uses the mouse wheel to scroll down, the first record
disappears off the screen and they can't get it back unless they click
on the Refresh button or Page Up. The mouse wheel never scroll back up
to the first record. ...

Hi All
I got a datagrid and a ComboBox on a form. I populate the combobox with
years for all the data avaiable. When the user chooses a year the datagrid

Problem... when the users scrolls the datagrid with the mouse wheel it work
for 2 wheel clicks and then for some reason the focus jumps to the combobox
and the year is then changes there for causing the data to change and errors...

I like on the PictureBox the scrolling with the mouse wheel continues

Hi,
If on an asp.net page the user has just selected a value in a dropdownlist
and scrolls with the wheel of his mouse, the selected value of the
dropdownlist will change.
How could I avoid this.
So how could I disable the mouse scrolling that dropdownlist.
Or how could I disable the mouse-scroll on those pages.

hey all,
can someone please tell me if you can disable the scroll button for a
dropdownlist. For example, when you select an item in a dropdownlist and it
still has focus and you accidently hit scroll wheel on your mouse the
selected item changes.
can this be disabled?
thanks,

I recently edited a 2003 Access Database using the 2007 version.
When using it with 2007, using the scroll wheel on the mouse when one is a
form will scroll the page up & down. However, one of users is on Access
2003, and when using the wheel on her mouse, it will flip through the
saved records in the database, in essence going from one record to another, as opposed to just scrolling up & down the form.
How do I prevent this from...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
