A user of one of my databases is having the following problem. When
they open any report in print preview that is formatted for landscape,
it will display in portrait view when first opened. If they close the
report and reopen it, it will display in the correct landscape view as
will any other landscape formatted reports that are subsequently
opened. The first opening and closing seems to "fix" the problem. All
reports use the default printer which is a HP 2200 series.
Added to this problem, snapshots that are created from landscape
formatted reports generate in portrait view and everything is
"squashed" into the portrait format. If the orientation is changed to
"landscape" in the printer's printing preferences, the snapshots
generate correctly.
I've written many databases that print landscape formatted reports and
create snapshots of landscape formatted reports and have never come
across anything like this. Does anyone have any clues?
Any help is appreciated. 1 2133
Just a guess, but it may be worth a try, to reinstall the Printer
Driver on that user's machine. I've seen Ms Access and other Office
apps behave weird if the printer driver becomes corrupt..

Hi all,
I'm trying to figure out how how complex map, filter and reduce work
based on the following piece of code from
http://www-106.ibm.com/developerworks/linux/library/l-prog.html :
bigmuls = lambda xs,ys: filter(lambda (x,y):x*y > 25, combine(xs,ys))
combine = lambda xs,ys: map(None, xs*len(ys), dupelms(ys,len(xs)))
dupelms = lambda lst,n: reduce(lambda s,t:s+t, map(lambda l,n=n:
*n, lst))

Hi All,
i have some (3) different weird pointer problems that have me stumped. i
suspect that the compiler behavior is correct because gcc shows the same
results.

typedef int t_Array;

I would like to send the Print Preview of a MS Access form to a
Snapshot file. The form contains an OLE graph.
BACKGROUND
A snapshot of a report is possible. If I could I would use a report to
display the graph but it is not possible to send query parameters to
an OLE graph on a report (or programatically change any properties of
an OLE Graph).
However with a Form you do have the ability to change the RowSource of

I have a small database made up of 2 tables. I have a report that is
driven from a query. On the report are a couple of fields linked to
memo boxes in the table. Everytime I run the report I get the
following strange characters instead of data.

These actually show us as square boxes and capital A's with a tilde
etc.

Anybody written code in VB.NET to: 1) show a print preview window of reports
already written and stored in an Access 2002 database; or 2) execute the
print of a report stored in an Access 2002 database?
Thanks,

When I open a certain report, it runs some code that generates the records
that will be displayed in that report. This works fine. When I go to print
preview the report it appears that the code is run again? This is causing
certain error problems.
1 Why does the code run for a print preview when the report already
exists?
2 What command do I use in code to find out if a report (or any other
object for that matter) is already...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
