Background:
1) tblT_Documents is the primary parent transaction table that has 10
fields and about 250,000 rows
2) There are 9 child tables with each having 3 fields each, their own
PK; the FK back to the parent table; and the unique data for that
table. There is a one to many relation between the parent and each of
the 9 child rows. Each child table has between 100,000 and 300,000

I have a query that uses the same view 6 times. It seems that the
database engine is calculating the view each time.
The result is very poor performance. The same query takes 2 sec with MS
SQL, and more than 10 sec with PostgreSQL.
Is there a method to improve the performance besides merging the
components of the view into one table?
I believe that caching query results could have resolved this issue

One of our clients recently upgraded their Office version to 2003. When
they tried to run our program (written in Access 2000), they ended up
with the wrong data. My coworker and I have tested this problem and
found that it ONLY occurs on Windows XP machines running Office 2003.
The problem ends up being that ONE 1-to-1 join in ONE query within the
application does not perform as a 1-to-1 join. It acts as though there
is no join at all....

I created a person table with various fields such as Suffix,
Salutation, etc, Some of these fields may not be mandatory for example
suffix. In the actual table itself, I only have a field for suffix ID
where 1=Phd, 2= MD. To display all of these to the user, I created a
