I feel a bit silly asking this because I use this code all the time, but
what does the ",,129" mean? Are there other parameters that one might use
(I only do fairly simple SQL commands).
conn.execute strSQL,,129

Below is some code for doing and insert into one of my tables. The
inserts do not work because a duplicate key exists, which I want to
happen. The problem is, I cannot get access to return an error for this
condition.
What can I do to get access to return an error on my query?
Thanks

I am making data entry tool in Acc2K for several data collecting
centres. It is convenient to have several files (mde file, .mdb with
tables only etc) located in the same directory. To make linkage
automatically it is necessary to get the directory where all these files
are located. One way is to supply it through interaction with local
user. However, it would be easier to have reliable way to get this
infor automatically.

I posted this in the C# language group, then thought it
might be more appropriate in this group. I would not
cross-post except I want the answer so badly.
I built small C# Web and Web Service applications in a
training class last week. The applications worked in the
class, but when I tried to run them again over the
weekend, they both bombed. Instead of getting my Web
page, or the Web Service page, I get a page full of error
text...

Periodically, we see an ASPX page fail with this appearing in the logs. Any ideas? It happens about every 3 to 4 hours, requiring a restart of the application domain to resolve it. Is this a COM Interop memory leak of the serialization code? It works great for a while and then crashes.
Only thing close to this document thus far is KB #306158, but my issue is just an ASPX page calling some biz logic that uses the Xml.Serialization namespaces....

I'm trying to execute an append query. I have a case that works, and
one that returns an object not set error.
THIS WORKS:
Private Sub cmdArchiveRecs_Click()
BeginTrans
CurrentDb.Execute "qapp_RecsNotYetArchived", dbFailOnError
CommitTrans
End Sub

I'm curious about getting to the text of procedures in a database other
than the current database without a new instance of Access. Note I don't
want to execute or call anything, I just want to get to the text of each
module.
No Networks involved, just multiple drives on one local machine.

Hello Folks;
I have run myself into a hole I cannot get of and need some assistance. I have a Form "Frm_ATandT_Activation_Center" that has a sub form "Frm_ATandT_Activation". Frm_ATandT_Activation_Center is standard in Form View with no Master or Child links to the Sub form. this allows me to show available SIM ID"S in inventory for activation. The Subform diplays as a datasheet that has a Query as the control source. So when the user opens...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
