Need help on AVERAGING

Hello all,

I am still pretty new to Access but I do have a grasp on some basic
functions.

I am having a problem with averaging and I think I'm trying to do
something a little too complex and maybe I even have it set up wrong.

I am putting some evaluation forms online. Each form/table is
different, apart from the first 10 questions which are the exact same
on all 5.

I have 5 tables: tbl1, tbl2, tbl3, tbl4 and tbl5.

The similar fields are Behavior1, Behavior2... Behavior10, but to
differentiate between the tables they have prefixes such as PMBehavior,
PSBehavior, VABehavior etc.

I need to be able to take PSBehavior1, PMBehavior1, VABehavior1 etc for
one particular person and find the average.

So if they got a 4,3,3,4 and 2 the average for Behavior question #1
would be 3.2 and it would show up in my web-based report.

But with it being 5 different tables, I am clueless as to how to get an
average from that.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a couple observations. One possible approach is to create a inner
join between the five tables and then create a calculated field (or fields)
in which you calculate the average (or averages).

A second approach would be to combine all the common questions in one table
and create an additional field to distinguish which of the five evaluations
it belongs to. You could then create a GROUP BY query on each person and
calculate the average using the AVG function. This is probably the easier
approach.

The site is currently not running due to us emigrating, but during its last year we got traffic of between 2000 - 2500 unique visitors per day. We are now about to re-launch the site from Sweden and we need to purchase a script to run it. Having looked at what is available on the net I have realised that we need a...

I hope someone can help me, because what I'm going through at the moment trying to edit XML documents is enough to make me want to never edit XML again. Initially, I was averaging the expectation, along with the productivity, but what I'm being asked is to look at the average productivity/performance compared to...

Hello guys. Whenever I am learning a new programming language I like to learn the basics (variables, loops, conditionals etc) by writing a program that will calculate averages. I wrote a simple number averaging program. But when I run it in Eclipse or the command line and I enter: 1 3 5.5 It says the average is 3.1666666666666665 when it should be 3.1666666666666667. I checked and am positive it is dividing the sum by 3. What do I...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
