Reseting menu bar with VBA in Access?

Hi!

What's the proper Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) code for reseting
the menu bar and the tool bar in Access.

Thanks in advance,
Markus

Hi
CommandBars("Me nu").Reset
replacing Menu with the toobar's name.

Quoting from the access97 help file
"Once you establish a reference to the CommandBars collection object,
you can access all the properties and methods of the object. You can
set a reference to the CommandBars collection object by clicking
References on the Tools menu while in module Design view. Set a
reference to the Microsoft Office 8.0 Object Library in the References
dialog box by selecting the appropriate check box."

There may be changes for later versions of Access.

I have an Access app that has been distributed with run-time installation to many different customers over many years. It is developed in Access 2000. The custom menu bar has had no problems in the past. However on one new computer it was installed on last week the custom 'Tools' menu (which normally contains items such as 'Backup Data' and 'Preferences..' etc) has been replaced by a single menu item under Tools that says 'Other..'....

I've been clicking around Access 2007 Beta 2 and can't see the custom menu bar designer. Is it in the beta? Maybe I'm blind. The question that comes to mind is: Will custom menu bars be the same height as they were in previous versions or will they be the "ribbon" style that takes up a huge portion of the screen? Also when I use Access 2007 to open an Access 2003 database that has custom menu bars they display as they did in Access...

I'm trying to have a menu item in a custom menu that serves the same purpose as the standard Windows built in menu with respect to the list of forms that are open. However, I don't want to let the users have access to menu items such as, for example: Hide - someone will hide the main menu form by accident when poking about and panic. Unhide - I have one major form with hundreds of bizarre text boxes which stores setings on various...

I have re-installed Office 2003 using Detect and Repair but this hasn't helped. I have other versions of Office loaded on my machine including Access 97, Access 2000, Access 2002 and Access 2003.

I have a large Access application that I look after. This app is written in Access 2000 and uses menu bars. (CommandBars and CommandBar Controls). The menu is static - built into the app (ie items aren't added to it or deleted from it at runtime). The Menubar was created and forms dragged onto it in the usual fashion. The app is compiled into an MDE.

Access2k non runtime. In a previous post, I mentioned that I wanted to hide the Access 'Menu Bar' from view. That means that I DO NOT want to be able to see the MenuBar, even as a momentary flash during the load of my project! I thought I had accomplished this using the: CommandBars("Menu Bar").Enabled = False In conjunction with a custom blankmenu. But, as it turns out, it removed the default menuBar from Access itself. This is...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
