Problem accessing internet with xp sp2

Hi

I am using ms internet transfer control to access a website. Client pcs
where app is running are connected to a small business server 20003/ISA
Server 2000 server. The app works fine on all pcs with win xp sp1. However
it does not work on a new pc with xp sp2 pre-installed. I have disabled the
sp2 firewall but the app still does not work. The error I get is 'HTTP Error
407 - Proxy authentication required', ISA Server can not retrieve the web
page etc. If I enter the username, password and proxy server information in
the control then I get the error 404: Resource can not be accesses... etc.

What is the problem and how can I fix it? Also why would the app work with
xp sp1 but not with xp sp2 even when firewall is disabled?

Thanks

The app that is trying to access internet is in access. Sorry I did not
clarify. I just thought that someone using access with win xp sp2 may have
had the same problem.

Thanks

It probably isn't Access. It is probably the way the app is accessing the
Internet. You may need to set ISA Server to allow SecureNAT and set your
Proxy properties in IE to bypass the proxy server for this address or you
need to set the app to authenticate to the ISA Server. The ISA folks can
probably help you better.

I'm running ASP on IIS 5. My users who are on the network can access our database. Any users from the internet "outside" the network can't access it. We don't have a firewall. Our Windows Server crashed and ever since then its been a problem. Any suggestions. I think it is a setting in IIS. Thanks. ERoessing@pacificdesignstudios.com

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
