upsized an MDB to ADP/SQL Server 2000 under Access 2000. All the DAO code
that I've changed to ADO code is working fine, HOWEVER the form Record
Source itself does not seem willing to return data. I've set the Record
Source to both the query, and the SQL contained within the query, and
although the system pauses long enough to have gone out and retrieved the
data, I can't see it. The form itself remains gray. In addition:

I have a data entry form with a combo box to look up an entrant's name.
If the name is already in the table then it pulls up the record and
that part of the form works fine. If the name isn't in the table then
I want to be able to add it but this part is not working. I enter a
name that is not in the table and press Enter. I step through the code
and it appears to work until I get to "Exit Sub". At this point a
warning message box...

I am designing a database which needs approximately 50 fields per
record. The database user requires data entry to be via a single
screen.
If I follow good database design practice and split the 50 fields into
several smaller tables, is there any other way to enter the data on the
single data entry screen other than having several subforms with the
individual tables as their recordsource?

My computer was moved last week, and the company changed the network groups
we work on. As a result, one of the main benefits from Whidbey (database
connectivity) no longer works.
Situation:
1. I open a new project based on a windows form
2. I click on "data" and then "Add New Data Source" then I click on next
within the wizard
3. I have 3 choices Database, Local Database, Web service and Object.
4. I choose Database, click next and get...

I have a main form with a subform and a second subform nested to the first subform. The data entry property for all three forms (main, subform and sub-subform) is set to "yes" because I am intending this form to be used for data entry only. The main form has a combo box from which the user can select a lake. The first subform allows the user to enter survey data for the lake. The sub-subform allows the user to enter additional (plant...

I am using Access 2000 but I also have the 2003 version.
I am working on creating a data entry form in Access for a research study. Since there is a maximum of 255 fields per table in Access, I have to split the fields up (unfortunately). I am creating a form for each section and all of the respective fields, and then I am putting all these forms into one larger form as subforms. I have a few questions & am hoping someone has answers:

I'm not a new user to Access, but I have been away from it for a while, so I'm making a lot of new user mistakes.
I have a continuous form set up which displays performance measures for different services at my job. Basically, when the form is first loaded, the user is prompted for a password, which determines the service which is displayed. There is a subform, which is the continuous form, that is based on a query that pulls up only...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
