Hi All,
While in the process of building my table (40 or so Insert statments)
can I then query ("select * from @Table_variable") and use the results
up to theat point for another insert into @Table_varible? If you look
for stepID -15 I have commented that section out due to it not
retuning the correct values.
Thank you in advance

I have a SQL query I'm invoking via VB6 & ADO 2.8, that requires three
"Left Outer Joins" in order to return every transaction for a specific
set of criteria.
Using three "Left Outer Joins" slows the system down considerably.
I've tried creating a temp db, but I can't figure out how to execute
two select commands. (It throws the exception...

I have a query on one large table. I only add one condition, i.e. a
date (the SQL reads like 'where date > parameterdate'.
This query is rather quick if 'parameterdate' is either explicitly
written into the query or if it is a 'normal' access parameter value
that is entered during the query.
If I however create a separate parameter table that...

Hi there.
I am having an intrigueing problem.
I have a query which left joins another query to itself twice. The
original query is derived from a linked table in SQLServer 2000.
When I run it on my pc It runs fine. However for other users in the
office, it behaves as an inner join. ie it only returns the records fo
which the join...

Hello All,
How do I limit the number of detail records selected in a Master-Detail set using SQL?
I want to select all master records for a date, but only the first 3 records for the details (based on the primary key of the detail record). I've
been trying with "TOP 3", but can't get anywhere. Using Access 2000.
Something like:

I want to execute the following SQL statement for a single emp.emp_id.
Just adding and emp.emp_id=256 to the end of the statement results in

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then...

I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in...
