Hi,
I created a COM AddIn for Word that performs the functions
that it needs to, but I needed to add the ability for the
toolbar created by the COM AddIn to remember it's last
position and whether it was docked or not. I added the
following code to my "OnConnection" function but it fails
with an error, "Run-time exception thrown :
System.IO.IOException - Bad file name or number."
With applicationObject.CommandBars("SampleToolbar")

Please help
I don't know if this is possible but what I would really like to do is
to use On Error Goto to capture the code that is being executed when
an error occurs.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Greetings,
I'm having problems with the use of an Access 2003 Add-In on Windows
XP Pro. Administrative-level users have no problems running the
Add-In, but those users with restricted rights on the same computer
can't use the Add-In.
We are cloning a setup to copy to multiple identical machines, and I
just want to install the Add-In to be available to All Users without
fiddling with rights and manually installing for each person (and

I have a big ugly program in Excel that I'm trying to remake in
Access. I'm not very good at either program I'm afraid.
Right now I'm trying to call up the xla file that holds the code in
Excel and borrow a lengthy procedure from it. I can't seem to get the
xla file to load when I open the Excel workbook. Any ideas?
Here's the Access code:
Private Sub comRetrieveTracker_Click()
On Error GoTo Err_comRetrieveTracker_Click

Hello
I have to create a small addin which works on Powerpoint, Word, Outlook, and Excel on Office 2000, XP, and 2003.
This addin consists in adding 2 new Buttons in the "File" Menu of office. This is properly done, but the events which should be triggered with the button.click method are not triggered in Word.
I don't understand because it properly works in the 3 others host applications.
If someone has an issue, I would be most grateful....

Hi!
I don't want to use eval() in order to parse a user-supplied formula.
What alternatives do I have? PHP has no standard functionality for
tokenizing or parsing expressions in this regard.
Here is a simple example: The user supplies the following formula in
string format,
"a = (6+10)/4",
and the script needs to find out what the value of 'a' is.

Hello,
I'm trying to create an addin for Outlook 2002 using the one provided
in the demo of win32com as a starting point. I've been able to do my
addin and test it if I go the "standard" way (using the python
interpreter). But now, I want other poeple to use it to I want to
freeze it for windows using py2exe and py2exe is giving me a headache.
First, I cannot seem to be able to register my addin with the resulting
executable. I've...

Can we create an Excel Addin with VC++.net?
We are developing an application in c# which interacts with Excel
application. The UI will be Excel and based on the inputs given through
excel I need to do calculations using managed code (C#). Most of the time is
consumed by interacting with excel like displaying values in the workbook or
inserting cells based on my requirement. And adding some excel names into
the work book etc...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
