My application is to capture employee locations.
Whenever an employee arrives at a location (whether it is arriving for
work, or at one of the company's other sites) they scan the barcode on
their employee badge. This writes a record to the tblTSCollected table
(DDL and dummy data below).
The application needs to be able to display to staff in a control room

Have any function in the DB2 database that can generate unique id
for each string like oracle, mysql,sybase,sqlserver database.
In mysql:-
select md5(concat_ws("Row name")) from tablename;
Here this function generate unique id for each row of the table.

Does anyone know how the following info is extracted from the user's
computer by a Front Page form?

I have a web service which is accessed by a windows forms application.
When the application submits a unit of work (a "job"), I want to return a
job receipt or tracking number back to the application.
