Access report print colour question

There may be a simple answer to this but I cannot find it!

I want a to print a control on a report in a different colour depending
on the value of the control. In my case the field contains either 'AM'
or 'PM' and defines membership in a database.

Look into Conditional Formatting. It's on the Format menu when you have the
report open in Design mode.

I just browsed through some of my Access links when I came across the Ten Commandments of Access (http://www.mvps.org/access/tencommandments.htm). Some of the points I heartily agree with (and wish that my predecessor had followed) but -- alas -- being a relative beginner to Access, I can't see the reasoning behind one of the points and the site does not provide any rationale / explanation for its presence either: 2. Thou shalt never...

I would like to send the Print Preview of a MS Access form to a Snapshot file. The form contains an OLE graph. BACKGROUND A snapshot of a report is possible. If I could I would use a report to display the graph but it is not possible to send query parameters to an OLE graph on a report (or programatically change any properties of an OLE Graph). However with a Form you do have the ability to change the RowSource of

I've seen plenty of articles on this topic but none of them have been able to solve my problem. I am working with an Access 97 database on an NT4.0 machine, which has many Access reports. I want my users to be able to select a report, click on a command button on a form, which will then automatically create the report as a pdf file and save it to the user's machine. I am using Adobe Acrobat (5.0 I think) and have Adobe Distiller as a

Hi, I am automating Access reports to PDF using PDF Writer 6.0. I've created a DTS package to run the reports and schedule a job to run this DTS package. If I PC Anywhere into the server on where the job is running, the job runs sucessfully, PDF files got generated, everything is good. If I scheduled the job to run at the time that I am not logged into the server, Access is not able to print to the printer. The error is pretty...

I tried to ask this a few days ago: I was then thinking in terms of using a parameter query--I've since decided that that was not a good approach. I have a form that displays information on 'colorsets': setname, number of colors (limited to >=3, <=11) in set, settype. The form displays this for one set at a time, but the user can scroll through all the available colorsets. The form is in a one-to-many relationship with a subform that...

Anybody written code in VB.NET to: 1) show a print preview window of reports already written and stored in an Access 2002 database; or 2) execute the print of a report stored in an Access 2002 database? Thanks, Dean Slindee

Thanks for taking the time to read my question. I have a table of data that has Date, Data and Category. I need to show, in a report, each Categories Data by Date. The Date has to be it's own column across the top and Category down the left side. As data is entered, the number of unique dates increases. As a result the

We have a fairly good sized Access database that contains some info on the children our agency sees. We also have 40+ templates that require some info from the database be inputted into them, such as the name of the child, their address, etc. At this time staff will look into the database for that info and enter it into the form. Management wants to automate this a bit so each of these templates is a report. That leads to my question. ...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
