Hi,
I am using MySQL for a table which will have 100M+ records, avg length
of records being 130 bytes.
When the number of records reach approx. 25M (and the file size close
to 4GB), the rate of inserts falls drastically from 800 per second to
30-40 per second.
Details:
* MySQL 3.23.58 on Fedora Core 3

I have created an Access Database to store information from my various bank
accounts and keep track of my finances.
Everything works great, except that I decided not to keep the balance data
on the sheet, only the transaction amount.
I figured it was easier to just add all the previous transaction amounts to
get the balance on any given...

Do I get more scalability if I split my database? The way I calculate
things now, I'll be lucky to get 100,000 records in my Access 2003 mdb.
Here some math:
Max mdb/mde size = 2000 x 1024 = 2,048,000k
Let's say on average each record in the database consumes 15k
2,048,000/15 = 136,533 records

I have a very simple Access database containing a single table. It is
part of a data-logger were I INSERT a new record once every ten seconds.
Three times a day I DELETE records older than one week old. The number
of records remains about the same, but the physical size of the mdb file
on disk continues to grow. It is now over 44 MB.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hello,
I have been successfully using a database I've created for several months to populate an equipment list for a project we've been working on. However, the form has recently stopped working for some unknown reason. I've been having a problem recently where one table (Project Info) keeps auto-incrementing when I try to create a new record...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...
