Hi
I created an C# windows forms application that holds a user control. The
user control itself is an editor for geographical information systems and is
based on an ActiveX Library for providing basic geografic operations. It
works fine most of the time, but sometimes it crashes with weird messages
and i'm not able to track the error down - to find out the reason for this
problem. It's some kind of an memory problem - I get the message...

Hi All
I have a program which takes photos of members using a web cam, then saves
them as bitmap files
The bitmap is used by a Picturebox to display the photo and clicking on a
button enables the camera and another button takes the photo and saves it
In VS 2003(VB) all worked fine, but since moving up to VS 2005 (VB) when I
try to retake a photo and save it I get error messages

I'm working on an application using VB .Net 2005 and MS Access 2003 for the
database. The table I'm trying to update has a key field. When I click the
Save Button the update seems to work in the dataset, but the database is not
updated. The code I'm using for the btnSave is:
Private Sub btnSave_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, _
ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles btnSave.Click
'saves adds and edits to database

Every few days the backend database locks up; when a user tries to
update the backend, the following error message occurs:
couldn't update/currently locked
The backend can stay locked for as long as one hour sometimes.

I am developing an application for pocketpc and this involvs a but of
juggling with different forms.
I have an "order entry" type of application. On the main form I have a
grid which displays Order headers. Let call this form "OrderList"
From this view I edit/enter new orders by opening a new form for
entering data. This is done using (more or less) the designer generated
forms, so I have a "Order edit view dialog. I pass the binding...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
