From one of the online Javascript tutorials, I learned how to
open a new window and set its size. I'm building a page that has
several small photographs, and I want to let the viewer examine
either a full size image or an image with supporting detail.
It's the same idea used on lots of Web sites that show thumbnails
where you click on one and the full-size image is displayed in a
new window. However, I have different-sized images that will...

I would like to send the Print Preview of a MS Access form to a
Snapshot file. The form contains an OLE graph.
BACKGROUND
A snapshot of a report is possible. If I could I would use a report to
display the graph but it is not possible to send query parameters to
an OLE graph on a report (or programatically change any properties of
an OLE Graph).
However with a Form you do have the ability to change the RowSource of

I have a Snapshot Control in a continuous form and I want the source
for the control to be different for each instance of the continuous
data (based on one of the fields in the recrod source for the form).
For example, if there is a field with a unique numeric value in the
recrod source for the form, the report that should be displayed in the
Snapshot Control would be CurrentUniqueValue.snp. Anyoen know if this
is possibel and if so how I...

Hello,
BACKGROUND:
==============
I've created a Windows User Control that contains an Image Control (among
other controls).
The user control handles the picture resize event. Whenever the parent that
holds my user control is resized, I resize my image so that it uses the
maximum available space. Note: It takes about 2 seconds to regenerate the

Hi,
Setup/History: Code-behind = C#. I have created an html table with textboxes
in each cell dynamically with asp.net. The number of rows depends on what
the datareader brings back. The columns (6 of them) are static. After the
table is built I take a snapshot of the names of the textboxes and the
values inside them (before the values of the textboxes are altered by
humans). I need to use this snapshot/data after the webpage has been...

Hi
I've copied Stephens code into my db, and can get it to work, but only
on "plain Jane" reports with no images.
Most of my reports has an unbound image obluect in them that I set to
an external image file using on_open code
I've searched through this group and there are a few comments about
snapshots not working with embedded images, and my testing seems to

Hi,
I would like to build a .flv player which can accommodate 7 different video sizes.
This will probably be made using php and xml to dynamically control content.
What I would like to know is if and how it is possible to have a holder.swf (just looks for variables to display the flv) that can automatically resize based on the flv dimensions. I dont want any kind of browserscreen resolution resizing of content, just an swf that will...

A lot of users at my workplace use different screen resolutions, and I build
apps to use 1680 x 1050 pixels res by default. But some users are using 800
x 600, and the apps are too large for their screen.
I used to write code in Java a few years ago (2005), and you could stretch a
form with the mouse and all the controls and fonts would resize to larger or
smaller size. Does .Net framework 3.5 support this kind of functionality?
Or -...

ONU (Optical Network Unit) is one of the key components for providing high-speed Internet services. Its primary function is to act as an endpoint device located at the user's premises. Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
