Dear All,
How to clearly show the active (cursor) field.
A very large form having about 100 inputfields.
After pausing input the user must see a once where the cursor is!
Thanks,
Filip 4 1938

Filip,
You could use the form's "on timer" event such that, after a period of
inactivity the control that has the focus changes background colour, but
you'd need to code it carefully in case, for example, a command button had
the focus when the timer event fires.

Assuming the cursor reference is a red herring, if all you want is to show
the active field, just set the conditional formatting of the field to yellow
when the "Field has focus" (assuming also that your version of Access has
conditional formatting).

Hi all...
I've been stumped by this for days. Bit of ASP code: (IIS)
Set LocalConn = CreateObject("ADODB.Connection")
LocalConn.CursorLocation = adUseClient
LocalConn.CommandTimeout = 0
LocalConn.Open sConnStringSO (SQL Server 2000, irrelevant what it is,
see below).
LocalConn.Errors.Clear

Ok, I've been browsing through the MySQLdb docs, and I *think* I know
the kind of code I need to write (connect, cursor, manipulate data,
commmit, etc. -- although I probably need to get more familiar with
actual SQL commands too), but here's my problem: I don't know where
these scripts are supposed to be executed, or how they are supposed to
'find' the database.
Really, I have the same question for two different scenarios: accessing...

Hi all.
I have a program that copies text to clibboard when the user presses a
combination of SHIFT/CTRL and function keys.
Now i am trying to automaticly paste that text into the textbox / listbox /
datagrid where the cursor is. Is that possible?
C# must know where the cursor is. Do you agree. I can't find this out.

I am working on a little project using pysqlite. It's going to be
exposed on the web, so I want to make sure I quote all incoming data
correctly. However, I've run into a brick wall trying to use parameters
to populate a query of the form "select * where col1 in ( ? )"
The naive approach doesn't work:
values=
sql = """select * where value in (?)"""
cu = cx.cursor()

New to Mysql;
I have created a stored procedure. Using a cursor I traverse the first table.
For each row in the cursor I need to determine the correct row in another table to update.
Using a select statement with data from the cursor I identify the primary key to this the target table and update it. I extract row counts from the target table as I go to check that the correct number of rows are being updated (i.e. 1 each time). results here...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
