Hi all
I need to add data from two Excel sheets (both on the same workbook)
to an existing table in my SQL DB.
The problem is that each sheet holds different fields for the same
record, though the records are sorted by row numbers.
(I had to split the fields to different sheets because Excel has a
limit of 256 fields in each sheet)
My sheets are quite large (~55,000 rows and 200 columns each) and I'll
have to repeat this action many...

Timings... sometimes there are almost too many ways to do the same thing.
The only significant findings I see from all the below timings is:
1) Integer math is generally fastest, naturally. Bigint math isn't much
slower, for integers that all fit within an integer.
2) Converting float to varchar is relatively slow, and should be avoided if
possible. Converting from integer to varchar or varchar to int is several
times faster.

I have a database with more than 800 adress records
Some of the are similar because some letters in the street adress for
example are not identical, altough they point to the same adress.
Does anyone have the syntax for a query that shows similar adresses
thar could be duplicates?
Thank you

I am trying to query 3 tables all related by Clinet_ID. The Clients
table, Monthly_Expenses table and Monthly_Income table. Each client
can have 0>M instances of expenses, past due expenses, and income so I
am using the SUM aggregate function to get the totals for the
Monthly_Epenses.Amount, Monthly_Expenses.Past_Due_Amount, and
Monthly_Income.Amount.
Then problem I am having and cannot seem to resolve is that the
Monthly_Income is...

Hi,
I am having a problem with dynamically sorting/grouping data in my report at runtime. My problem is that when the report is run using sorting/grouping I am missing data.
Specifically, my situation is that I have a query that contains results from 2 tables that have a one to many relationship to each other (ex. 1=Contact, M=Contact Incident, 1 Contact can have multiple Contact Incidents). This query is the dataset for my report.
I...

I have a table with four fields: BlockNo, District, SubDate, Status. I would like to create a report that 1)shows the percent of BlockNo that has a SubDate(IsNotNull) grouped by District and 2) shows the percent of BlockNo with SubDate(IsNotNull) and with Status=Y grouped by District.
I was able to create queries for both of these and count the number of blocks in the query. What I am unable to figure out is how to refer to the TOTAL BlockNo...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
