I have developed a small database which is setup with the front end and
backend files.
There are 12 linked tables withe the datafile located on our server.
Now the boss wants to be able to take a laptop offsite and still have
access, (even if read only) to the main data file (to be able to add records
in 1 table would also be useful).
I would like to be able to get the user to press a command button which

Some time ago I developed a program in Access, and separated the database and the program
itself (using the normal access tools).We have the db on our server and the programin the
desktop system. I have modified the program a number of times, and now find that I need
to change the DB slightlt. This appears to require that I REMERGE the data base and
program, and I have no idea how to do that.
Can someone give me some pointers,...

Hi all,
I've got a Front End / Back End database that was working just fine.
One day i opened the FE to find that if I tried to open one of the
linked tables from the database window, nothing happened (hourglass
for about 2 seconds then nothing).
I tried relinking the tables and got the same response. (Access even
completely bombed out once with a Dr Watson failure).

I have a database (2000.mdb) which links to my data tables (Data2000.mdb).
The database has a Main Menu screen (not a switchboard - a custom one). I
need to import records from 5 text files into the 5 different Tables in
Data2000.mdb.
Here was my plan:
Create various Import specs in Data2000.mdb
Create a Macro (in Data2000.mdb) which calls each of the specs
sequentially.

there can only be one entry per student subject per time period.

I've converted my application from A2K format to A2003 format.
I tried to follow Allen Browne's protocol in getting my app into A2003
(although I was unable to find informtion on the conversion process). Lots
of decompiling and lots of compacting of the original application in A2000.
Then the app was opened in A2003 and compacted, decompiled and compacted.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
