Emailing from a form

I've got a form, and I'm trying to set up a way of emailing from it.

Does anyone know, if I've got an email address in a field called
[Phone Number], is there a way that I could create a command button
which, when clicked, would open up an email, with the value from the
phone number field dropped into the To field of the email? It would
only be for phone numbers with a [Phone Type] of 'Email Address'.

I know next to nothing about SQL, so would rather do something using
wizards, but don't know where to start.

I'm working with Office XP Professional, MS Access 2003 and Outlook
2003.

Can anyone help, set me off in the right direction?

Have a look at the help for
DoCmd.SendObjec t

There will be examples in the help file.

If you want to do something more complex search in this group for
Outlook Email Access. This page may be of help.

There seems to be a problem with my emailing code, although during testing it worked fine. What happens is it sends two emails instead of one, and also doesn't put any text in the email for some addresses. Its sent as plain text and as i said when i tested it to 6 email addresses it worked fine. my code is below <%@LANGUAGE="VBSCRIPT"%>

I have a table called Contact_Info. I have a form that allows me to show all the contacts from a specified city and sector. Once these contacts appear on my new form I would like to be able to press a button and it would take their email addresses, from the 'email' field, and enter them into Outlook in the "TO:" box so that they can all be emailed the same document. Any help would be much appreciated, thank you, Brendan

I have a database that has a table in it with employee information (name, dob, email, etc). This is joined to a table that has tasks that are assigned to each individual that has a recurring date. For example, Joe must take an annual CPR class, Bob needs to take his Hearing Test, Ann must take her Eye Exam. The task table keeps the completed date in it, while the form that displays it calculates the next due date (using dateadd). So, as...

I discovered, with great excitement, this article http://www.davison.uk.net/vb2notes.asp when researching methods for emailing from Access via Notes. Unfortunatly, when I run this I get a Run-time error. When I run it on an XP machine it crashes, but on an NT box it just generates an unknown error, handled by the error handler. I have debugged and stepped through the code and have narrowed the issue to the point at which the...

Hi guys, In classic ASP, i used to enable emailing from a webpage using the following code, lcData = "mailto:?CC=" + lcCC + "&subject=" + lcSubject + "&body=" + lcBody window.parent.navigate(lcData) Where lcData, lcCc, lcSubject and lcBody are variables. When this was done, a New Email was created on the CLIENTS computer (email form).

What is the best way to launch outlook from an asp.net web page? Can you do this using MAPI or is there a control that you can purchase? We are unable to use SMTP. We use MS Exhange and MAPI currently for our client/server apps.

Hi, I am a total newbie to asp.net. I have spent the last week or so trying to find a good tutorial that would show me how to create a form that would be entered into a SQL database and then once entered into the database would email me the results of the form. I found the tutorials on aspnet101.com (Emailing form results) and they really did not explain to well.

I have a report with it's source from a query. The query calls data from 3 related tables. The report is a meeting agenda and I only want to attach a snapshot report to my email based on the specific record on a form. I tried using stLinkCriteria but it always captures all the records on my query as one snapshot attachment with all the records. The only way I can filter the record I wanted was to add a field to my table that users...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
