Hello all,
I've come upon a problem when trying to find where some data in my .mdb
file is coming from. This database was designed by someone else
several years ago, and now I've been put to task at redesigning it for
my company's current needs. However, I've been trying to find out
where exactly the table that is feeding data into several reports and
forms is coming from. There is no linked table object in the Tables
list of the .mdb file, and I cannot find anyway whatsoever to find out
where the original table data is coming from.
If I open up one of the queries or reports, I can see the name of the
table that the information is coming from, but that's it. No path, no
originating .mdb. Hell, I don't even know if its coming from an actual
Access database and not an SQL Server database somewhere else. I've
been told that Access was in place here before the SQL Server software
was added, so I highly doubt that's where its linking from anyway.
I just need to find out the location of this rogue table I'm dealing
with so that I can add a handful of extra rows to it.

The tables are hidden.
Click Tools + Options + General
Place a check mark in the 'Show Hidden Objects" box.

having an audit trail to find when problems occured, the problem I am
increasingly finding with Access is that there is no 'inbuilt' audit
trail for me to see what has happend to the database to get it into its
current state.
Is there a way to make Access 2002 (in 2000 mode) to generate a log of
