Coding a switchboard so new forms don't pop open in new windows.

I am looking to set up a switchboard that doesnt have new forms open as
pop open in new windows like they do as the default

I am looking to make my own switchboard where I have the list of forms
I can open on the left and a box on the right where they open into.
Basicly I am trying to replicate the code that Peter's software uses to
make this form
http://www.peterssoftware.com/abs.jpg

If I make a unbound form on the right called "textbox" how can I open a
form called "test" inside that box using the DoCmd.OpenForm or similar
command?

make the right control be a 'subform', and set the subform's source
object to the form that you want to open

Hi, I created some forms and during the wizard I chose the Datasheet View, and when I open the forms from the main objects window they open up in datasheet view. But when I created a switchboard which opens the same form it doesnt load them in datasheet, it loads them in other, columnar (me thinks), view. Is there a way to make the switchboard load these forms in a simple datasheet view

I have created a switchboard, created using Access 2000. If I put the mouse anywhere on the form, outside of the checkboxes and scroll the wheel backwards, I get the following error. Run-Time Error '-2147217900(8004e14)': Syntax Error (missing operator) in query expression in '>0 and =' I know that the Switchboard probably doesn't cater for this event but sometimes you can't help twiddling the wheel can you?

Hi all, I mistakenly deleted my switchboard on the Object Forms view. I recreated it again with the database utility, but the switchboard isn't showing up in the forms view. Any ideas? Thanks in advance. Jim Lee

I was working in Access and everything disappeared from the screen. When I closed and reopened the file there was no switchboard. I can open tables and forms etc if I select a category from the View > Database Objects menu, and use the up/down keys and the Enter key, but I can't see what it is I am about to open. I was able to replicate this with another database by moving the switchboard up past the top of the screen and scrolling up to...

I have recently inherited a database. The switchboard (and other forms) displays the name of the database on it (top, center). Currently the name that appears is Reviews. There are plans to roll out the application (i.e. making copies of the database) to other locations (Reviews-NY, Review-Dallas etc). If was mentioned today in passing by the original developer that there is a way to change the title that appears on the switchboard without...

I would like to create a switchboard showing all tables that would open each table upon selecting the control box. The switchboard manager does not appear to allow you to select specific tables as you can do in forms and reports. Is anyone aware of a way to do this?

I setup a very simple database for a client, it has only one table. I have startup options set to open straight to the Switchboard, so users only see the Switchboard menu. The database has 3 reports which were also on the switchboard menu and a form to enter data. I can open the database from 10 different computers, but on one of my client's machines, the database doesn't open to the switchboard, although If I hold the shift key down on...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
