Hi, I'm having problems opening up excel thru my code. It will write and
saveas an excel file, but the application won't open on the user's computer,
excel seems to be hidden, because it shows up on the task manager. The
problem is, if this user tries to download the data more than once, it gets
stuck because the file already exists, so I want it to overwrite the old
file...but the user can't overwrite when the excel app won't work! Any...

I have a DTS package that needs to refresh data in 3 separate Excel
spreadsheets on a daily basis. The problem is that unless I manually
delete the previous day's data, it appends rather than replaces.
I can't delete the excel files on a daily basis, as they have to be
there for the DTS package to be able to export to Excel. What I want
to do is create a VBScript (ActiveX Control) to delete all the rows of
data except the first row...

Good day,
I have a web page that shows info retrieved from a MySQL db and I
would like to convert all these data into an .XLS file.
Have searched the net high and low but seems that I'm unable to find a
free tool that can do the above and therefore I'm forced to do
everything from scratch.
Till now have developed two different versions of the programs and
both somehow work but still have a small problem that I can't
understand.

To my surprise and chagrin, newer versions of Access have disabled the
functionality that lets users change the data in linked tables that point to
a range in an Excel workbook. This is "because of legal issues..." according
to Office Support.
I have other issues, specifically a couple of applications that do things
such as calculate price updates in Access and read them back by means of
update queries into the spreadsheets our marketing...

understanding is that, by using a reference to 9.0, I make my
application compatible with Excel 2000, 2002, and 2003. If I use a
reference to 11.0, however, then my application is compatible only

I am not using any "DoCmd"s because the goal is for the import code
to be moved to a stand alone VB app which will use the Access DB as a
