Help with Sum function!

Hi:

I have a field on a form that is names 125POP. It is currency.

I can refer perfectly well to it in a text box when I want to add it to something as in:
=[125POP]+[Payroll]

HOWEVER

when i want to sum it, I have a problem.

=sum ([125POP]) produces an error, not only in the field involved but also all to her sum
fields on the form.

I have no idea what the issue is, but would love to get some pointers so I can sort it
out!

Thanks

are you trying to sum a single field across records (by using SUM), or
are you trying to just add up values on a form? If you're trying to
add values in controls on your form, it's like this:

=[Field]+[Field2]+[Field3]

If you're trying to add up a column (separate records) as you would a
column in Excel, then you need to use either DSUM or use a query.

I am trying to add a single field across records on the form ( its for payroll). The SUM
wotrks fine for some other fields in the same records, but there is something weird about
the 125POP field and I cant get my hands around it!.

Hi John Baker,

Piet Linden is on the right track. I would add that the problem appears
to be because you probably have the form field 125POP bound to the
table/query field with the same name, 125POP. Try calling the form
field 'txt125POP' (bound to 125POP). Modify the other form fields'
references to this new name. For example,

=[txt125POP]+[Payroll]

The form fields that use the Sum function should refer to the
table/query fields and should remain:

=Sum([125POP])

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...
