I see quite a few ISP's offering the serving of "ms-access" data. What is
the situation with that? Are they offering a service where your tables must
be converted to some flavor of SQL and then attached, or can you really
upload MDB's?
If you can upload MDB's, are they really talking about being able to access
that data with Access, or are they referring to uploading an MDB and then
using only Data Access pages?
Finally, if these guys actually do host an mdb backend online to which you
can attach with an Access or VB front end, how does the data transfer work?
I assume there would be no server-side queries and therefore all the data
has to travel through the wire before appearing on your screen. This sounds
like it would be pretty slow.
Thanks,

Hi
They mean using the Access from we pages via ASP or PHP. You can
upload MDB files using ftp but can't use the Access fromt end with
them.

Hi,
I have read the MS documentation and researched this matter, but I
could not find the answer to my question. If this is online or in a
FAQ somewhere, I apologize in advance.
How difficult would it be to host an Access Database online so that
people who visit the web site can read and modify the database? I
know one can create data access pages, but those are read only.

Hello everyone,
This is my first attempt at getting help in this manner. Please
forgive me if this is an inappropriate request.
I suddenly find myself in urgent need of instruction on how to
communicate with a MySQL database table on a web server, from inside
of my company's Access-VBA application. I know VBA pretty well but
have never before needed to do this HTTP/XML/MySQL type functions.

Hello,
I am trying to develop a database solution for an organisation in
Indonesia.
This organization has a number of offices and users throughout the
country. They all need to maintain their own data, but I also need to
create a central database, to store all of the data, and share data
between the individual users. The problem is that the internet
connections are not reliable, so a online solution isn't possible. I
am planning to...

10 years ago, the below was written (see very end, after my signature

What, if anything, has changed?
I have Access 2003 and soon Access 2007 on a Windows XP Professional

it, and I want somebody, with a password (which I will provide) to be
able to log onto a A03 or A07 dB from the internet. Now that I type
this I realize that unless I put the database onto a...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
