Looking for rowsource property using DAO in ASP.

Hi all there,

Form time to time, I go back to this project of mine that drives me
nuts, now.

Sometimes ago, I have been suggested to use DAO insted of ADO for
getting the "ROWSOURCE" property of an Access table.

So it should have worked like this:
....fldName.Pro perties("RowSou rce").

Unfortunately this property does not exist in DAO 3.6.

My source code:
set dbEng = Server.CreateOb ject("DAO.DBEng ine.36")
set ws = dbEng.Workspace s(0)
set db = ws.OpenDatabase (DBPath)
set td = db.tabledefs(tb lName)
for each fldName in td.Fields
response.write "<br><br><br>Fi eld Name: <b>"&fldName.Na me
response.write "</b><br>Field Type: "&fldName.T ype
response.write "<br>Field Size: "&fldName.S ize
response.write "<br>Field AllowZeroLength : "&fldName.Allow ZeroLength
response.write "<br>Field DefaultValue: "&fldName.Defau ltValue
response.write "<br>Field Required: "&fldName.requi red
Next
....

The list of the existing properties of "Fields" is as follows:
Value =
Attributes =
CollatingOrder =
Type =
Name =
OrdinalPosition =
Size =
SourceField =
SourceTable =
ValidateOnSet =
DataUpdatable =
ForeignName =
DefaultValue =
ValidationRule =
ValidationText =
Required =
AllowZeroLength =
FieldSize =
OriginalValue =
VisibleValue =
ColumnWidth =
ColumnOrder =
ColumnHidden =

Do I do something wrong here? Is there anohter way to read this
property or at least the constraint name of a foreign key?
Thanks a lot.
Regards,
Irena

I tried to set RowSource of the MS Graph nested inside a report, programatically. I put Me.NameOfTheGraph.RowSource="NameOfTheQuery" on the Open Event of the report, but an error occurs :" Run-time error '2455': You entered an expression that has an invalid reference to the property RowSource". What's wrong ? Thanks.

I have created a query for the record source so that the text value of the rowsource property is included as a separate field for each record. I have call this field: and an example of the text is: (1;Yes;2;No). ...

Is it possible to set (using VBA) the rowsource for a combo box but have that rowsource come from a pass-through query. I can obviously manually go into the rowsource property and define the query and even set up the odbc string, but if i want to set this using VBA i cannot see how to do this. I know i can set forms!frm_test!combobox.rowsource to the SQL but that does not allow me to set the odbc for the passthrough element.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
