list all dates within a range except for those in table

Aloha,

I have a problem that I can't think of a (easy) solution for. I'm
building a web app (asp/access) that will allow people to book a cruise
on a 24 passenger yacht that goes around the island. I have a table
that holds the records when someone books a spot on the cruise. I have
a query that counts how many bookings there are for a particular day
subtracted from 24 so that I can see how many spots are open for that
day. I also have another table that holds the dates that the ship
doesn't run (only about 10 days out of a given year).

What I would like to do is for someone to see a list of all dates that
aren't on the "blackout" list or aren't on my query of zero spots open,
or also they could search for any date that has available slots. Say
they needed a day where 4 slots were open.

If I had every available date in a table this wouldn't be an issue. I
could easily accomplish what I wanted. But I'm wondering if there is
another way without having to input 355 days as "available" days for a
given year into a table.
Mahallo for your help,

Tony

I'm trying to write some code that will convert any of the most popular standard date formats twice in to something like "dd Mmm yyyy" (i.e. 08 Jan 1908) and compare the first with the second and calculate days, months, and years. This is not for a college course. It's for my own personal genealogy website. I'm stumped about the code. I'm working on it but not making much progress. Is there any free code available anywhere? I know it...

I've written several scripts that have "while" blocks which increment a date by one day if the date does not match one of a group of dates. However, sometimes it apparently steps out out the while loop even though my condition isn't met. Will work for a few loops then steps out often. Are there javascript "date" issues? I have also noticed different results between Firefox and Internet Explorer. thanks for any comments,

My dbase has the start date and end date of each visit. How can I ask Access to list the day of the week of the start (easy), end (easy) and, more importantly, the dates of the visit itself - ie list the dates between the start and end date. Basically I am doing a day of the week analysis and need to know which day of the week is busiest.

Hi, I have searched the forum for answers on this and to be honest as a novice I find it a bit confusing so apologies if it is simple. There are some searches that I want to apply to my database. 1. To search for all records between 2 dates and display them in a report 2. To be able to show all records which have a selection against them made from a combo box 3. To be able to combine the two, selecting the option from a combo and then...

I have recently learned how list comprehension works and am finding it extremely cool. I am worried, however, that I may be stuffing it into places that it does not belong. What's the most "pythony" way to do this: even = for x in range(0,width,2): for y in range(0,height,2): color = im.getpixel((x,y))

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...
