MS Word doc to Access with images put into a file server...

Hello,

We are trying to design a new website around an Access database that
allows employees to enter articles via Word into the database while
dynamically formating the text and page formatting into
HTML...AND...in serting images into a file server while placing a holder
tag into the document as its placed in the database.

We cannot lose the format capabilities of Word so a web-based WYSIWYG
editor is out of the question. The hardest part is the images; has
anyone done this or have any tips on how it can be done?

Thanks!

Hi, I was wondering if expert can give me some lite to convert my word table into access database. Note: within each cell of my word table(s), some has multi-line data in it. In addition, there is one row containing picture(s) as well. So far, what I did is doing it manually for each word docs I have. Select Table Convert Table to Text(I use ^ character for delimiter)

I'm very interested to hear if anyone has created an access database that enables a user to cut and paste an image from a web page into a database. The database then stores the image and then allows the user to cut and paste the image into either a Word document or an email. I have made a good start and it works but the images are huge – even though from the web they are quite small – I'm using OLE.

Hi, This could well be very difficult, but anyway... A client user prepares an MS Word (2000+) document, including text and images and then (somehow) submits all or part of that document (via full file submit or clipboard) through an ASP.NET page. The server then parses the doc, strips out unecessary word data and saves it as an HTML file on the server, saves all the embedded images in a separate folder and ensures the links to these...

Hi; I have written a database that tracks all the installation we have ever done. I have a small heating company. I have recently started keeping a directory of digital photographs of the completed job. I can create a hyperlink button that will link to a photgraph, but I cannot link to a specific photo of that specific job. Each job has its' own unique identifier, I call it the GOTC number. It is a separate field in the table of installed...

I'm currently building a web site for a small club I belong to and one of the features I would like to include is the ability to allow users to upload image files. unfortunately the servers web root www folder only allows READ and EXECUTE permissions, which makes it...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
