What's your evaluation of Visual Studo for Office?

..... or another way to call the Developer kit for Access with runtime
version.

I am used to Access 97, but it happens more often now that an application
has to be shared with a workstation running Access XP/2003. Are the
installation files of the runtime as big as in 2000? Is the packaging less
cumbersome now?

It looks like Access XP runtime is about 120 Mb as it "wastes" 55 Mb on IE 5. I
hadn't really cared before as I use CDs for distribution.

Slightly more cumbersome. In A97 you ensured your MDB/MDE files were not compressed.
Thus you could drag and drop newer versions of the files into the runtime
distribution folder and ship out that folder on a CDR. Now you need to run a
provided batch file which will copy your updated files into the CAB install file.

Still all the same problems with runtimes we're used to.

You can drop IE from the installation, I think MS realise that most
people have at least that version or above, considering they shove it
down our throats with their operating systems in the first place :-)

Hello. I'm trying to develop ASP.NET Web Application with Microsoft Visual C# .NET V. 7.0 Framework 1.0, but I have two problems: 1. In the Toolbox I dragged a few object like "TextBox", "Button" and "ListBox" on the Form. In addition I dragged DataGrig, the problem is that I can't see the DataGrid in the browser in run time or in the "view in Browser" option. In the past I had the same problem

Previously, we could use Visual Studio .Net 2002 combined with Visual SourceSafe 6.0 to maintain version control for Stored Procedures. (refer to "How to add SQL Server 2000 Stored Procedures to Visual SourceSafe by using Visual Studio .NET" at http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;818368 for details pls.) The most helpful thing is, there is a synchrinization link between the SQL 2000 Server and the VSS Database, we...

I am trying to create a DLL in Visual Studio 2005-Visual Basic that contains custom functions. I believe I need to use COM interop to allow VBA code in Excel 2002 to access it. I've studied everything I can find on COM Interop and .NET. I've also tried many of the 'Walkthroughs' on the MSDN site relating to COM add-ins, .NET and Office XP but am unable to get even these working in Excel 2002 or Word 2002. I've installed the Office XP...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
